A good home remedy for food allergies is tea made from plantain. Plantain in this case refers to a type of herb and not the banana shaped food of the same name.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon of plantain leaves
  • Preparation:

Boil the water and pour it into a container. Add the plantain leaves, cover the container, and let it sit until it is cool enough to drink. Strain the leaves away and drink the tea. Doing this 2 times a day should provide some relief to your food allergy symptoms.

A paste can be formed and applied to the skin to relieve a rash that was caused by an allergic reaction. This is made by using fresh plantain leaves and mashing them until paste like consistence is achieved.

    How does Plantain Herb Work?

The herb makes it easier to breath by releasing the mucous that was generated during an allergic reaction. It also has properties that help with irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, including the lining of the digestive system.
