Frankincense and Rose essential oil

Essentials oils of frankincense and rose have been used for hundreds of years in skin care products. These oils, when combined with jojoba oil, will lubricate the skin and lock in moisture, as well as stimulate cell regeneration.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml jojoba oil
  • 7 drops frankincense essential oil
  • 3 drops rose essential oil
  • Preparation

    Add the ingredients together in a glass bottle and stir or shake well. The best time to apply this mixture is after showering or bathing because the skin will be clean and moist. You may use a dropper to apply it a few drops at a time, gently rubbing it into the skin.

    Moisturizing Bath for Dry Skin

    A moisturizing bath made with chamomile and oatmeal is a great remedy for those who suffer from dry skin.

    Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of dried chamomile
  • 500 ml milk
  • 120 g ground oatmeal
  • The ingredients of this natural bath have properties that help moisturize dry skin and reduce itching that often accompanies the condition.

    Preparation:

    Chamomile and milk should be mixed in a bottle and stored in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, strain and add the contents of the bottle to a tub of warm water. The oatmeal should be ground and then added to the bath afterwards.

    A person with dry skin should relax in this bath for about 15 to 20 minutes. The next step is to dry the skin with a towel by gently patting your body. An application of body lotion afterwards is important to keep moisture within the skin.

    Herbal Bath for Dry Skin

    The herbal bath for dry skin is good way to soften and moisturize the skin, leaving it healthy, beautiful, and youthful in appearance. Taking a herbal bath at least 2 times a week is enough to provide soft and moisturized skin to individuals who constantly suffer from dry skin.

    Ingredients:

  • 200 g of rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons chamomile
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose petals
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • Preparation:

    The first step to prepare this herbal bath is to grind the oatmeal until it becomes a fine powder. A coffee grinder or mortar and pestle would work for this. Then, mix it with chamomile, lavender, and rose petals. Put 50g of this mixture in the center of a cotton fabric and tie it, forming a bundle. Finally, place it in the water as the tub fills. Be sure to use water that is warm, but not too hot.

    After soaking in the bath for 15 to 20 minutes pat dry your skin with a towel and apply a lotion or skin moisturizer.

    Oatmeal and Honey

    Another excellent home remedy for dry skin is to mix honey with oatmeal and kelp and apply it to your dry skin directly.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon kelp
  • Preparation:

    Grind the oatmeal into a fine powder and mix with the honey and kelp.

    Apply this mask on dry skin and leave it for 30 minutes. Repeat the application at least 1 time per week, or more if necessary. It is best when applied at night.

    Grated Coconut and Oatmeal

    Finally, another homemade remedy for dry skin is a weekly application of coconut and oatmeal. The oils within the coconut promote hydration while the oatmeal soothes the skin.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • Preparation:

    Mix all ingredients in a blender until it becomes a cream. Cover all dry areas with the cream and leave it on for 15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse with warm water.
