An effective way to stop dandruff is by making a solution from elderberry leaves and applying it to your scalp after washing it normally.

Vinegar is a good for killing the bacteria and fungus that have infected your scalp as a result of high sebum (oil) production. Make a tea from the first 4 ingredients. Strain the solution and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Use the mixture as a shampoo, applying it to your scalp and massaging it in. Leave it in your hair for 5 minutes. You may rinse your hair with regular shampoo afterwards.
